From our very first conversation, it was clear that working with Adam and Katherine – and their families – would be a joy. From speaking with Katherine’s mom early on to collaborating with the stellar vendor team they had already begun assembling, the entire planning process felt smooth, relaxed, and collaborative.
That same ease carried into their wedding at The Ritz-Carlton Washington, DC. The day unfolded naturally, without rush or tension, allowing each moment to feel fully present. Photographing Adam and Katherine’s wedding was the perfect way to close out my 2025 wedding season.

I cherish wedding days that are centered around the ceremony itself – the moments where two families come together and the traditions that carry their history and culture are honored. Adam and Katherine’s Jewish ceremony was exactly this: thoughtful, meaningful, and full of intention. Witnessing these moments and the connections they create between families is one of the reasons I love photographing weddings – these traditions are deeply rooted, shaping both the heart of the day and the lifelong journey of marriage.

The Ritz-Carlton offers so much understated elegance indoors, providing many backdrop options for portraits. I strategically arranged lighting throughout the day to capture images that feel editorial, refined, and enduring.
One of my favorite moments was a playful wedding party portrait at the bar, where I set up lighting to create a polished, fashion-forward look – the kind of image that could belong in a Vogue spread. These carefully considered lighting choices allowed us to balance sophistication with the joy and personality of the day, creating images that feel both glamorous and timeless.

The reception was simply stunning. The room at The Ritz-Carlton Washington, DC was elegant and full of life, with soft ambient lighting that set the tone for the evening. Every part of the day came together so effortlessly: Sarah of Coordinated Details ran everything flawlessly, the band was incredible, and the Ritz staff was as organized and kind as ever.
The joy in the room was palpable. The Hora, the speeches, the Greek dancing—they all flowed naturally and brought everyone together. Their cake was beautiful, and we captured a cake-cutting and kiss that felt almost cinematic.
Capturing this evening was a genuine joy – the movement in her dress, the sweet emotion on his face, the celebratory energy of the room – all came together so perfectly. It was a celebration full of beauty, laughter and presence. It was the last wedding of the year for me and it could not have been a more perfect wedding to close out the season.

Adam and Katherine, Thank you for trusting me to photograph your wedding day. It was a genuine pleasure serving you and your families, and an honor to capture a celebration so rooted in love. I wish you both a lifetime of continued health and happiness!
