A Romantic Engagement Session in Northern Virginia

Thania and Yiotis’ Carlyle House engagement photos prove that sometimes the best plans are spontaneous – or in their case – pivoted. We had originally planned to do their engagement photos at another park in Northwest DC. The night before their session we learned that the park was actually under construction – yikes! On top of that, we were shooting on a Friday evening in September and braving some classically horrendous DMV traffic. However, after some back and forth, we landed on the Carlyle House and wowza was it perfect!

The Carlyle House is nestled within the charming neighborhoods of Old Town Alexandria. The house offers so many picturesque spots within a short distance of each other from gazebos, gardens, and the cutest blue door! In addition to the location’s beauty, the overcast day made Thania’s blue dress pop in the most rich and lovely way! I am so excited to share their romantic Carlyle House engagement photos on the blog today and cannot wait to photograph Thania and Yiotis’ wedding next year!
