Summer Photo Session with a Family of Four

Although I am currently prepping for a full season of fall and holiday family sessions (which I love), I really do enjoy summer sessions so much, too! Summer energy is unique; something about it feels so lively, adventurous, and fun. For these reasons, the summer season also feels like the shortest to me. As they say – time flies when you are having fun, right? I am thankful to have had a busy season of summer portraits and am excited to feature one last summer family session before the change in season!

I was so excited then this mama reached out about her Old Town Alexandria family photos. As every parent, she was hoping for at least one good photo they can print on a Christmas card. As a parent, I understand these kind of nerves when finding a family photographer. Old Town Alexandria Family Photos

Alexandria VA may have been my most popular photo location this summer and for good reason! This charming town in Northern Virginia attracts visitors from everywhere! However, one of the most iconic spots in Alexandria is Old Town, a beautifully preserved neighborhood that dates back to the 18th century. Here, you can wander through the streets and alleyways, taking in the colorful row homes, quaint shops, and charming cafes that line the way. There are so many perfect spots for photo ops, but if you are like this sweet family with toddlers, you can get a variety of picturesque spots without a lot of walking.
