It’s grill season, ya’ll! I’ve been wanting to make (and style and shoot) Mexican street corn for a while now and what better time than mid-summer?

I’m also not sure what this salad would be called, because it was sort of thrown together for Sonia’s Hawaiian-themed birthday party. That was a month ago now and I’ve already made it again by request! I’m not usually creative enough in the kitchen to just throw things together without a recipe, but lately, I’ve started dreaming up yummy meals with different flavor combinations and cooking techniques that I want to learn or try. This is just a salad, but I have many other notes for more challenging things I want to try and bring to life. I’m starting to think outside of my food styling and photography box. Who am I?

Also, who doesn’t love salad full of fruit? I love all foods that are fresh, seasonal, and 🎨 C o L o R f U l 🎨 This salad is a fiesta in your mouth with black beans, mangoes, oranges, avocado, tomatoes, red onion, and a cilantro-lime dressing 😋 It’s bright and full of flavor, and of course, garnished with flowers, because why not?

I also couldn’t be more grateful for my sweet friend, Destinie, who will often take my camera and snap a few photos of me with Sonia while I am working or while we’re just doing life!
