This engagement session will forever have a piece of my heart! From the moment I received Diana’s inquiry about doing a cooking-style engagement session, I was beyond excited for this! She met her fiancé, Colin when they both worked for the Food Network and knew exactly how to plan things – a bright, studio kitchen rental in Midtown with some food elements partially prepped.

When it came time to shoot, it was a cold winter morning. The studio was open and surrounded by large windows, and complete with a spacious kitchen and cozy dining area. I photographed them making eggs, bacon, waffles, and cinnamon rolls as their adorable pup, Mwaji ran playfully around our feet, waiting for attention and snuggles (and scraps, too, of course!) We ended the session over brunch with perfect Manhattan views, drinking coffee, eating the most delicious cinnamon rolls ever, and gushing over our favorite restaurants and food shows on Netflix! Basically, it was a foodie photog’s dream and I was just having the loveliest brunch with a couple I felt like I had known forever!
