What started as a creative daydream—a vision crafted with love, talent, and collaboration—has blossomed into something truly extraordinary. I’m thrilled to share that our styled wedding shoot, inspired by the charm of a wedding in Virginia’s Wine Country, has been featured on Brides & Weddings.
This project was a labor of love, brought to life with an incredible team of local vendors who poured their artistry and passion into every detail. From the lush floral arrangements to the perfectly curated tablescape, every moment captured tells a story of Mediterranean inspired beauty, creativity, and collaboration.

Organic Mediterranean Inspired Wedding in Virginia’s Wine Country
If you were asked to picture the country of Greece, chances are the first images that would come to mind are the blue-domed, white washed buildings in the Cycladic Islands of Santorini or Mykonos. Some of the lesser-known beauty of Greece isn’t on one of its islands, but in the mountains of the mainland, where olive trees adorn the landscape with breathtaking, tranquil views.
Strolling the grounds at The View at Bluemont, it’s hard to believe you’re *not* in the stunning mountains of Greece! Inspired by her own family’s love stories and weddings in their quaint mountain village of Drosopigi Florina, Washington DC and Greece Destination Wedding Photographer, Alexis El Massih, collaborated with Virginia Swope of V+V Weddings, Northern Virginia and Washington DC Wedding planner, to bring this dream to fruition.
Lush greenery and crisp whites emanated the classic elegance of a minimal, romantic Greek wedding. Organic, rustic touches like baskets, textured table runners, and earthy wood accents created a dreamy, Mediterranean ambience amidst the Virginia trees and mountain air.
The View at Bluemont, primely located within Northern Virginia’s wine country, is an idyllic venue for such a wedding vision. Down a gravel road and nestled atop a hill with breathtaking mountainous views, the location is intimately nostalgic to the mountain villages and family-own vineyard vibes of Northern Greece.
Old World, Rustic Mediterranean pottery meets hand drawn calligraphy for a unique and personal take on a seating chart, created by Live Life Lettered. The organic, romantic florals took on a simplistic, effortless color palette with dynamic texture. The florals incorporated olive leaf, an iconic element of the Mediterranean terrain/horticulture.
Together with a powerhouse team of local vendors, the dream of your destination style, Mediterranean village wedding escape comes to life!
