Susan and James’ Boston-area wedding was an absolute dream from beginning to end. Their day was full of joyful tears, bountiful florals, and centered around the joining of their families. Narrowing down photos for the blog has been such a challenge!

I began the day photographing details at Susan’s home where she was getting ready with her parents, sister, and close relatives. Susan was poised and calm while she was having her makeup done and listening to the dedications for her and James on the Greek radio station. Her parents danced around everyone in their kitchen. The joy and excitement in their home was palpable. Meanwhile, James awaited Susan’s arrival at the church. He was most excited to see her walk down the aisle and when those doors opened – ah! He was beaming!

Their Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony was held at Susan’s home parish, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Weston, Massachusetts. The overcast day was idyllic when it came time for their portraits. We were able to photograph using a beautiful side of the church that is normally too bright. Their tented reception took place close by at the Hilton Boston Dedham. The flowers were colorful and abundant, the ambiance romantic and elegant, and the party lively!

To the newlyweds: I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to capture this beautiful time in your journey together! I hope you will look back on these images and be able to relive every moment with as much love as when they were taken! Congratulations! May God continue to bless you with many more joyful years!
